1st round of the playoffs matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning

Rumors out of Montreal are that GM Bélanger is on the chopping block after not managing his starting goalie’s starting schedule properly. Darcy Kuemper has played a decent season for the Montreal Canadiens with a record of 38 wins, a goals against average of 2.74 and a 0.905 save percentage. Now he gets to sit for the 1st game of the playoffs because he was the starter for 1 too many games. GM Bélanger is quite ashamed with himself in having made this huge error. “There is no excuse about it, that was quite dumb on my part. I simply played our amazing backup Tristan Jarry not enough when I thought I did… no excuse on my part, I should be fired for this. Our great franchise is now down our #1 goalie for the 1st game of the playoffs and I’m ashamed to present myself in Montreal streets”.

In the first round, the Canadiens will be facing the Tampa Bay Lightning who finished ahead of them in the standings with 106 points. It will be a tough series with Point, Kucherov and Vasilevskiy vs Suzuki, Caufield and (Dobes)Kuemper.
